TL;DR

Klaviyo agency fees depend on the scope: flow builds, ongoing campaigns or both. HWM starts from $1,000 a month, prices campaigns per email by format, and quotes flow builds after an audit. Compare the actual deliverables, software costs and contract terms before comparing fees; one agency's rate card is not an industry benchmark.

Three pricing structures, and why they exist

Klaviyo agency pricing falls into one of three structures, because the underlying work splits into three different jobs:

  1. One-off flow builds. You pay once for a set of automations (welcome, cart abandonment, browse abandonment, post-purchase, winback, VIP, replenishment, sunset) that then run on their own and compound in the background. This is usually a project fee, not a subscription.
  2. Monthly campaign management. Someone plans a send calendar, writes copy, designs templates, segments the list, and ships campaigns on a cadence. Because it's ongoing labor, agencies price it either as a flat recurring retainer or as a percentage of the revenue campaigns generate . The two structures create different incentives (see below).
  3. Combined. Flows first to build the automated revenue base, then campaigns layered on top once the automations are established.

Structure and price vary by agency size, market, and scope. The figures below are one agency's published rates, a reference point rather than a market average.

An example: HWM's flow-build pricing

Flow-build pricing scales with the number of automations and the complexity of the segmentation behind them, more than with your revenue. Huge Win Media quotes each flow build after a free audit of the account:

ItemFeeBilling
Flow build, up to 11 flowsFrom $3,500[1]One-time, quoted after the audit

That's a one-time fee. The flows keep running every month afterward with no recurring charge, though most accounts still need updates as products, promotions, or Klaviyo itself change.

An example: HWM's campaign pricing

Some agencies price campaign management by send volume rather than as a percentage of revenue. Huge Win Media prices each campaign email by its format: plain text, drag-and-drop, or full graphic design.

ItemFeeBilling
Campaign email, lowest-cost format$100[1]Per email, billed monthly
Campaign email, full graphic design$200[1]Per email, billed monthly

These are HWM's published starting points, not a full rate card. Check the current rate card for deliverables and timing.

HWM's monthly engagements start from $1,000 per month[1]. The rate is lower when your own team handles strategy or account management. Confirm the scope and total fee for your account before signing.

Flat pricing vs. percentage-of-revenue for campaigns

A percentage-of-revenue fee ties the agency's compensation to a defined revenue measure. Ask which attribution model, channels, returns and discounts affect that measure; attributed revenue is not the same as incremental profit. A flat fee makes the cost within the agreed scope predictable, but higher-volume tiers or extra work can still change the total. Compare both the incentive and the measurement rules.

What's often excluded

Klaviyo agency retainers usually cover email strategy, copy, design, segmentation, and send execution. SMS, pop-up/list-growth tooling, deliverability infrastructure, and dedicated account support are often priced as add-ons. Inclusions vary by agency, so ask for the list in writing.

Contract terms worth asking about

Minimum contract lengths and review windows vary by agency. As one reference point, Huge Win Media's published terms include a three-month[1] minimum on monthly retainers (the stated rationale: lifecycle email compounds over time, and a one-month engagement doesn't give flows or campaigns enough runway to show performance) and a seven-day[1] money-back window on the first flow design. Ask any agency you're evaluating what its equivalent terms are and why.

Get a real number for your account

Published pricing tells you the shape of one agency's rate card. It doesn't tell you what your account needs. That depends on your current flow coverage, list size, and how much of the setup is currently under-built. Book a free Klaviyo audit to get a specific quote for your account, informed by the public case-study library.

Use the agency-vetting checklist to compare delivery and ownership alongside the fee.
